Approximate, by road. The range section is slow, so allow extra time.
- Wauchope: about 60 km, about 1 hour.
- Port Macquarie (and airport): about 80 km, about 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Walcha: about 110 km, about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Armidale: about 175 km, about 2.5 to 3 hours via Walcha.
- Tamworth: about 200 km, about 3 hours via Walcha.
- Sydney: about 430 km, about 5.5 to 6 hours via the Pacific Highway and Wauchope.
- Brisbane: about 600 km, about 7.5 hours via the Pacific Highway and Wauchope.
Directions
From the coast: leave the Pacific Highway at Port Macquarie and follow the Oxley Highway west through Wauchope, Long Flat and Ellenborough. Turn off at Mount Seaview Road.
From the tablelands: leave Walcha heading east on the Oxley Highway past Apsley Falls. Go down the range and past Gingers Creek, then turn onto Mount Seaview Road.

Fuel, phone and road tips
- No fuel at the resort. Fill up in Wauchope or Walcha. There is also fuel at Long Flat, about 30 km east, and Gingers Creek Roadhouse, about 26 km west. Check their opening hours.
- Optus only. Optus works on site. Other networks are patchy or have no signal. Download maps before you leave.
- Take it easy. Expect blind corners, posted speed limits, logging trucks and wildlife at dawn and dusk.

The Oxley Highway is sealed. It is steep and winding on the range, so allow extra time, especially when towing.

There is no fuel at the resort. The nearest fuel is at Gingers Creek Roadhouse, about 26 km west, and Long Flat, about 30 km east. Wauchope and Walcha are the safest places to fill up.
Will my phone work at the resort?+
Optus works on site. Telstra, Vodafone and other networks are patchy or have no signal, so let people know before you arrive.
