Built for an overnight stop on the Oxley
Riders come for the Oxley, a stretch often described as having around 300 corners. It climbs from the Hastings Valley onto the tablelands. That is a lot of work for one day, and plenty of people would rather not finish it in the dark.
- Undercover motorcycle parking, off the road and out of the weather.
- A licensed bar and restaurant on site, so the bike stays parked once you arrive.
- A cooked breakfast for $20, or continental for $12, before you head off.
- Rooms for every budget, from lodge beds at $70 to motel rooms and a spa suite. See all rooms and rates.
Group and club rides
With 26 motel rooms and 24 lodge rooms, the resort can take a whole club run. Lodge rooms sleep up to 4 and share a kitchen and laundry, which keeps costs down for big groups. Tell Ralph your numbers and dates and he will sort out group rates. There is also a camping area if some of the crew would rather pitch a tent.
Fuel and road tips
There is no fuel at the resort. Fill up in Wauchope or Walcha. Along the way there is fuel at Long Flat (about 30 km east) and at Gingers Creek Roadhouse (about 26 km west), but check their hours. Watch for blind corners, posted limits and logging trucks. Only Optus has coverage on site, so tell someone your plans before you set off. More on the road on our getting here page.
